About Us

Welcome

Welcome to the Riversdale Athletics Club. We have been training track and field athletes for over 50 years. During that time we have helped thousands of young (and not so young) athletes run faster, jump higher, and throw farther .

Although we are a track and field club, what we teach our athletes goes far beyond the stadium. To us, learning to run faster is only the beginning. Sport teaches our athletes about determination and confidence, about how to win graciously and how to learn from defeat. It lets them hit their limit and then overcome it. It teaches them generosity when they share their team mate's wins and compassion when they share their losses.

On the track we have some of the most experienced and successful coaches in the province. Whether the goal is simply to get fit or to compete at a very high level, we have a program that can help. We have athletes from 8 to 80 and from beginners to National Champions and Olympians.

At Riversdale we pride ourselves on being a welcoming and accommodating community that places the needs of our athletes first. Our coaches put tremendous effort into ensuring that each and every athlete has the best chance to succeed. At the Board level, our first question when making decisions is always "how will this affect our athletes". As a Riversdale athlete, you can be sure that you will be treated with respect and compassion, that you will be well coached, that you will work hard, and that you will succeed.

Training Times

Cross Country begins August 28th. Training days will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Please click HERE for the information package and HERE for the season schedule.

Junior Development base training begins September 5th and will run Tuesday and Thrusday. Please click HERE for the information package. Maps to the training locations can be found HERE and HERE

Sprints/Jumps base training begins at the end of September. We will begin with one day a week eventually moving to three days a week(four for older athletes) once we move indoors. Training days this year at Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
