Fundraising Information
Each year, Riversdale collects $200 from each family as our fundraising fee. This money supports our club directly with upgraded equipment, facility access, coach development and direct athlete training and support. For families who wish to “earn back” this $200 fee, there are fundraising opportunities throughout the season that go directly back to the family.
What types of fundraising does RIVA do?
Examples of past fundraising opportunities have included: delivering phone books, selling Old Dutch chips, coop gift cards, poinsettias, cookie dough, Mom’s Pantry, bottle drives, etc.
How much can a family earn?
For those keen on fundraising, there is the opportunity to earn back both the fundraising fee ($200) and their full club fees as well.
When do we know which fundraisers we’re doing?
More information is sent out via e-mail prior to the start of each fundraiser throughout the year as exact dates fluctuate year-to-year. Seasonally, and historically, we typically follow the cycle below:
Spring Season: Often succulents, cookie dough, or Co-op gift cards
Summer Season: Bottle drives, or chips
Fall Season: Chips, Kernels popcorn, or chocolate bars
Holiday Season: Often poinsettias, or Mom’s Pantry
Is fundraising mandatory?
The $200 annual fee is mandatory. Participating in the fundraising opportunities is optional. We know families are busy, and for some it’s easier to pay the $200 and pass on organized fundraisers
