2026 Canadian Track & Field Championships

Riversdale Athletics Club athletes continued to make their mark at the National Track & Field Championships, delivering personal bests, strong finishes, and valuable championship experience against Canada’s top young athletes.

In the U20 800m preliminary rounds, Naysa Woods and Jersey Lange both put together solid races, competing confidently in one of the championship’s deepest middle-distance fields.

Simon Granger had an outstanding championship, placing 10th in the U20 high jump before returning to the track to record his second personal best in the U20 hurdles—a testament to his versatility and continued improvement across multiple events.

The U20 men’s 3000m saw Will Sawchuk and Preston Dodge both achieve significant milestones, each running personal bests while breaking the nine-minute barrier for the first time. Their performances reflect the hard work they have put in throughout the season and mark an exciting step forward in their development.

In the U20 women’s 3000m, Katie Rogers delivered another impressive performance, racing to a 6th-place finish against a highly competitive national field.

These performances continue to showcase the dedication of Riversdale athletes and coaches, with athletes consistently rising to the occasion on Canada’s biggest stage. Congratulations to all of our competitors on representing Riversdale Athletics Club with determination and pride. We look forward to cheering on the rest of our athletes as the championships continue.
